It’s a far cry from my usual bitter, snarky, comical, self-deprecating material and tells my own little story of hope. A real sense of which was sparked when I cut the booze at the end of 2022 and continues to grow, albeit accompanied with overwhelming periods of self-reflection and feelings of deep shame for the person I was at times. I’m not numbing myself out anymore, so I suppose this song was inevitable. It's the only thing I managed to write this year, so roll on 2024!
